Huge Watercolor Q & A~ All Your Questions Answered!
my number one takeaway is that i need a mixing palette with deep wells to hold my wash mixes
Meredith THANK YOU! It’s always an inspiration to watch your videos.
I liked your series! made the exercises and I LOVE listening to you and all the comments you make. Keep it up!!!
Thank you
Thank you so much for showing us important basic info. You make it interesting and enticing to start watercoloring
It´s cool but long
This is very good but it is so long
Enjoy intro to different products and
@wittygrittystudio It would be helpful if you'd listed what you use/recommended under the video.
Teach me more🤗
This is a total waste of time
You do not answer the question why use watercolour white. It is to change the hue to creamier shade. It makes it opaque
The third one Isn't wet on wet. It's wet on dry. It would be wet on wet if you would prewet the area like you did in the first and second example. That makes the red color spread more easily.
Thank you so much! Especially for sharing your first painting! It is nice to go back and look where we started ... and to realize even your early work holds beauty (which is why we paint!)
was supposed to have a class abt watercolor in architecture school but I failed my prerequisite classes. glad I found your channel and I am so having fun learning from you ❤️❤️❤️
Greetings Meredith and thank you for all your videos. Really enjoy them. Question- Pardon my ignorance but what exactly does this exercise do/will this do for me? How does this exercise help my landscape painting? How do I use/apply this in landscape painting? Thanks.
Feel like I'm back as school, that was so much fun, as well as extremely informative Thank you ❤️
when you're using walmart bruhses and she says not to use low quality brushes : 👁️👄👁️
What do you mean by "mix your color?"
תודה רבה על ההדגמה. מסייעת הרבה כל הכבוד
הדוגמה מדגימה היטב נפלא רותי
😍
Would you add another exercise for practicing glazes/layers? I'm having a problem figuring out how to adjust them so I’m not painting dry but also not lifting previous layers. Your explanations for other stuff are good, so I’m hoping you have insight into this.
Thanks
Thanks! You make the effort of learning a fun and therapeutic activity ♥️
Washes
Iam UR new subscriber from kerala thanks
When you made the wet on wet (#3), was the paper wet first or was it that the you applied the blue paint with a lot of water (making it wet), and then the magenta wet paint?
I would love to have seen what Mark's the mop brush made! Thanks for the video!!
late to the party but this is so helpful! I've never taken a watercolor class before, I just do it for fun, so this is super awesome for me!
This is so relaxing 😂
Thank you! I learned so much!

Great video. Just beginning this adventure. Used to painting toll paintings on wood, so this is a brand new medium for me. Have to learn completely new techniques. The paint, the brushes used, and paper are so, so different from wood!. I was getting frustrated until I accidentally ran into your videos. Thanks so much for making this possible for me. I've been in stage 5 isolation in a retirement home for over 2 months, now, due to this covid-19 virus (I'm not sick) and art is one of the tools keeping me sane (love to sketch).
I’m so thankful for this tutorial. I’m a beginning beginner. I know nothing about art but I have a burning desire to learn. So I’m forcing myself to take in as much beginning information as I can. I have WAY more supplies than I need according to you, but I’m secretly glad I do. They’re so pretty. And I bought good quality supplies After watch these three exercises I am going to get some student grade paper and save my good stuff for later. Thank you for the instructions!
